Biography
Christine Vandenbergh was born in 1954 at Mackay, Queensland, Australia. Her qualifications include a Fine Art Certificate at the Wollongong Technical College and a Diploma of Fie Arts at the Sydney Technical College, Darlinghurst, Sydney, Australia. Recently Christine has completed a workshop at UWA, in Face Reconstruction, (a study of the anatomical structure and function of the head and face), with renowned lecturer Sue Hayes, Dr. of Functional Anatomy and Human Morphology.
Professionally Christine has taught Fine Art at W.E.A. Wollongong NSW, was a retail manager of Jackson’s Drawing Supplies, Applecross, West Australia, and is currently Partner/Owner of ‘About Art’ Rockingham West Australia. Christine is a current member of the South Metro Figure Artists and the Rockingham Regional Arts Inc.
From 1974 to 2006 Christine has entered her work in many awards and exhibitions in West Australia and in 1995 won 1st prize for her drawing ‘Infinity’. Amongst her achievements she was commissioned to do the drawings for the stained glass windows in the Catholic Church, Yangebup, W.A.
Christine teaches art classes in Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Drawing and Portraiture she also works on commissions for Portraits in Oils, Pencil and Pastels.
